Web Administration
ArchivalWare™can be managed through the use of a special and secured web-based interface.This allows ArchivalWare™to be managed from virtually anywhere through a standard browser interface. Users who are assigned to a group with Create privileges will be able to access the Administrator but will have limited functionality. Only the Data Management tab will be enabled. The administrator application can be accessed from the same login screen as the ArchivalWare™search application.
USERS & GROUPS. This menu contains operations which allow the administrator to define users and groups. Users are assigned to groups and all settings and properties are modified here. These include which items, such as libraries and fields, are made available, operations to define the way the system’s many preferences are displayed, and how information is sorted.
DATA. This menu contains commands which provide general data services to manage ArchivalWare. These include: importing data into the system, exporting data from the system, and the ability to manually update the index for each document set.
STATISTICS. This menu provides the administrator access to information about the ArchivalWare™system. This includes running pre-defined reports, locating documents which have been locked or checked out, and setting up query
subscribers.
SYSTEM CLEANING. This menu allows administrators to maintain the system by providing the ability to easily remove old logs from the file system and delete unneeded data from various database tables.
